Chapter: Make-A-Wish Foundation^® of Oregon

Young Alexandra (nicknamed “Alex”) wanted to experience the excitement and glamour of Hollywood. She and her family wanted to make it a road trip, so they traveled the more than 600 miles from their home in Medford all the way to Hollywood.  Once in tinsel town, they did all the fun, touristy things, such as visiting Universal Studios, Warner Brothers, and touring the homes of the stars. Alex had a great time, the star of her own wish story.

Chapter: Make-A-Wish Foundation^® of New Jersey

Christopher, a fun-loving young man, was thrilled when he found out he was going on his chosen great adventure. Christopher wanted to go to the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas so that he could swim with the dolphins at Dolphin Cay. Christopher and his family enjoyed a six-day stay at the tropical paradise, participating in as many water sports as possible. For this young man, the most enjoyable part of the trip was relaxing on the beach and enjoying the warm sunshine without a care in the world.

Christopher’s wish was granted in conjunction with the Walk for Wishes event.

Chapter: Make-A-Wish Foundation^® of Southern Florida

Anthony is a soft-spoken kid who loves NFL football, especially the Miami Dolphins. So, picking a wish was easy: he wanted to meet the famous football team. On the Friday night of his wish trip, Anthony and his family arrived at the Trump International Sonesta Beach Resort. The next day, the family enjoyed Miami Beach and all the amenities of the resort before attending a Miami Heat basketball game—an extra bonus to Anthony’s wish.

On Sunday, a limousine picked up Anthony and his family and drove them to Dolphin Stadium. Their escort from the Miami Dolphins Community Relations Department greeted them, and Anthony was treated like a VIP. After the game, he visited the locker room, where his wish to meet all his favorite Dolphin players came true. Anthony’s wish was granted in conjunction with the Fins, Twins & Pins Celebrity Bowling Tournament.

Chapter: Make-A-Wish Foundation^® of Greater Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana

Julie chose Hawaii as her wish destination after seeing breathtaking photos of the islands. Her wish came true, and she spent a glorious week with her family enjoying the tropical paradise. During that time, she was able to forget about her illness and focus on simply having fun. Two of her favorite memories are swimming with the dolphins at Sea Life Park and attending a traditional luau. Julie’s wish was granted in conjunction with the Blue Night event.

Chapter: Make-A-Wish Foundation^® of Connecticut

Ricky enjoyed his wish experience from beginning to end. His wish began with a ride in a limousine to the airport to catch a plane to Orlando, Fla. For Ricky, the trip to the airport was wonderful fun, because he had never ridden in a limousine before. During the ride, Ricky turned to his mom and said, “Mom, this is so great; I'm starting to cry!” Arriving at Disney World, Ricky and his family continued having the time of their lives. They enjoyed lunch with Cinderella at her royal table and enjoyed all the fun and amenities at Give Kids the World Village. Ricky's wish was granted in conjunction with the Bouquet of Wishes event.

Chapter: Make-A-Wish Foundation^® of Greater Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana

Travale loves to shop and wanted to go somewhere special to fulfill his wish. So, he chose the shopper’s paradise: the Mall of America in Minneapolis. Accompanied by his mother and younger brother, Travale couldn’t wait to get to the mall, so he started shopping the day he arrived in Minnesota. He bought clothes and jewelry on his spree and had a fabulous time. During his visit to the mall, he also spent time at the Camp Snoopy indoor amusement park and Underwater Adventures, an incredible underground aquarium. Travale’s wish was granted in conjunction with the Third Annual Walk For Wishes.
